GCI Portfolio Company AES Secures CAD 2 Million Investment from FedDev Ontario to Expand Global Market Layout!

GCI-backed portfolio company AES (Advanced Electrophoresis Solutions Ltd.) has announced nearly CAD 2 million in funding from FedDev Ontario (Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario). This investment will support AES in further scaling up its marketing investment in the European and Asian markets, and the company will recruit nearly 20 technical professionals to drive the commercialization and promotion of its products.

Earlier this year, AES completed a nearly CAD 2 million seed financing round from Celtic House Asia Partners and Hangzhou Huaiji Capital. With the support of its investors, the company has successfully settled in the Zhejiang Europe-America Biotech Industrial Park in Jiaxing, officially kicking off its business expansion in the Chinese market.
